This Privacy Policy explains how the Krishna Darshan browser extension (the "Extension") and this website handle data. We believe in complete transparency and have designed the Extension to protect your privacy.

1. Zero Personal Data Collection

We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data.

No Tracking: The Extension does not track your browsing history, the websites you visit, or the search queries you enter.
No Account Required: You do not need to register an account or provide an email address to use the free features of the Extension.
No Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics trackers, cookies, or telemetry scripts inside the Extension.

2. Explanation of Chrome Permissions

To provide customization features, the Extension requests specific browser permissions. All data managed by these permissions remains on your local device:

storage: Used to save your settings, active wallpaper packs, custom shortcuts, and audio preferences.
alarms: Used to calculate and schedule background rotation transitions and shloka changes at your selected intervals.
unlimitedStorage: Required to allow you to upload and store custom background images (JPG/PNG) and loopable audio tracks (MP3/WAV) directly in your local browser profile.

3. Premium Checkout & Dodo Payments

Premium features are unlocked via a license key purchase. Payments are processed securely by our partner, Dodo Payments.

During checkout, you will provide payment and contact details directly to Dodo Payments. We do not store or have access to your credit card number, banking details, or billing address. Dodo Payments shares confirmation of your purchase and your generated license key with us to validate your activation status.

4. Third-Party Integrations

The Extension includes optional search and bookmark features that interact with external services:

Search Bar: If you use the search bar, your query is forwarded to your browser's default search engine via the Chrome Search API. Optional voice recognition uses standard browser speech APIs.
Shortcut Favicons: The Extension fetches high-resolution icons for your custom bookmarks using Google's public favicon service. No user details are sent during this request.

5. GDPR and CCPA Compliance

Because the Extension does not collect, process, or store personal data on any external servers, standard rights requests under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) are inherently respected:

There is no personal data stored on our servers for you to access, export, modify, or delete.
If you wish to clear all settings and custom uploads, you can delete the Extension or clear your local browser storage at any time.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The Extension is suitable for users of all ages. Because we do not collect any personal data, the Extension complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and does not track children under 13.
